On May 26, 2026, a roundtable discussion titled “The Geopolitical Reality After the U.S./Israel–Iran War” was held with the participation of CRESCENT Research Center Director Farid Mirzali, Senior Researcher Zaka Jafarli, Researcher Tural Akhundov, as well as Topchubashov Center Director Rusif Huseynov, Deputy Director Murad Muradov, Leading Advisor at the Center of Analysis of International Relations Vusal Guliyev, and South Caucasus Research Center expert Eldar Hamzali.
The discussions focused extensively on the emerging geopolitical realities in the aftermath of the war, the transformation of the security environment in the Middle East, and the potential political and strategic implications of ongoing developments for Azerbaijan and the wider South Caucasus region.
In addition, participants exchanged views on the prospects for strengthening institutional cooperation among think tanks operating in Azerbaijan, enhancing engagement between expert platforms, and exploring opportunities for future joint research projects and academic initiatives.
